Hanging or Vining Plants Collection

Hanging and vining plants like ivy, philodendrons, scindapsus and pothos can lend a garden look by trailing gracefully from baskets, pots, or shelves. Fast-growing vines that attach with tendrils or twining stems can be trained to climb trellises, poles, fences, and arbors.

Examples include clematis, passionflower, Chinese wisteria, and grape ivy, which cover structures with ornate flowers and foliage. Trailing succulents like a string of pearls and burro’s tails make low-maintenance hanging plants.

Allowing vines to drape freely creates a lush cascade. Directing these climbers upwards adds new vertical dimensions. With proper support, these vining plants can be grown decoratively in the garden or indoors in containers.
