• Cebu Blue Pothos | Epipremnum Pinnatum

    00
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Cebu Blue Pothos, or the Epipremnum pinnatum, is native to Southeast Asia. It has the reputation of being one of the easiest houseplants to take care of. Its common name, Pothos, comes from the genus it was once classified under: Pothos aureus.

In the wild, it is known to overgrow forest floors and tree trunks due to its aerial root system which can be used to help it grow vertically in the home up a coir pole. In good indoor conditions, you can expect the Pothos to trail to 10 feet long and grow leaves that are 3 feet in length if trained to climb! The Pothos is particularly fitting for indoor settings because it is able to filter gaseous toxins like formaldehyde from the air.

  • Bubblegum tradescantia | Lilac Tricolor | Nanouk Plant

    00
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Tradescantia Bubblegum, or Nanouk is a unique tricolor variety you will definitely want to consider if you want to add some vibrancy to your home decor. It is well-known for its distinct colorations that evoke the hues of an aurora borealis, along with its hanging vines, which are often put on full display when the plant is placed inside a hanging pot. This plant is ideal for growing indoors due to its hardy nature and the relative ease with which it can thrive in most indoor conditions.

The Nanouk plant care requires bright indirect light. If the light is too dim, the leaf markings will fade. Keep the soil slightly moist, but don’t water directly into the crown. Care should be taken, particularly in winter, that the plant doesn’t become too dry.

It’s not like any other Tradescantia because it’s a new variety grown by cross-pollinating two selected seedlings of Tradescantia albiflora in the Netherlands in 2012. Tradescantia plants originated in Central America, Mexico, and South America, but Tradescantia Nanouk originated in Sappemeer, The Netherlands. While it’s the new “it” plant, it’s not a difficult plant. In fact, it’s one of the easiest houseplants to care for, which makes it a great choice for beginners!

  • Philodendron scandens | Heartleaf Philodendron

    00
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Heartleaf philodendron, native to Central America and the Caribbean, is a popular house plant because it is extremely easy to grow. It’s also known as the Sweetheart Plant.

Heart-shaped, glossy leaves emerge bronze, then quickly turn green. The leaves are typically 2-4 in (5-10 cm) long, and cover its long, slender stems that can grow to 4 ft (1.2 m) or more.

It will thrive in a small pot for a couple years with little care. Despite its tropical origins, this beautiful evergreen plant is tolerant of dry air, although it appreciates occasional misting.  The Philodendron Heartleaf is a fast-growing, easy, vining plant. Its graceful, heart-shaped leaves are dark and glossy green in color but almost look transparent at times. This full, trailing plant is perfect on top of bookshelves or in a plant hanger where its vines can ‘spill’ out.

The Philodendron Heartleaf is incredibly forgiving and will tolerate all kinds of neglect including low light, poor soil, and inconsistent watering. This is a great first-time houseplant or gift for anyone who wants to enjoy the natural beauty of plants without a lot of maintenance.

  • Brazil Pilodendron

    00
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Brazil philodendron, or Philodendron hederaceum, offers a colorful twist on a classic houseplant and is surprisingly easy to care for. With heart-shaped leaves in different shades of green and yellow, this trailing plant earned its name thanks to the close resemblance to the Brazilian flag.

The Brazil is a wild and bold cultivar of the classic Heartleaf Philodendron. Its variegated leaves look almost painted, with strokes of yellow and lime green across the deep green foliage. As if that weren’t tropical enough, the stems have a pinkish orange hue. Tolerant of a wide range of light conditions, this plant is a prolific grower, producing long cascading vines that can easily reach the floor.

Like its cousin, the standard green Heartleaf Philodendron, the Brazil Philodendron is extremely easy to grow – no green thumb required!
