The Tradescantia Bubblegum, or Nanouk is a unique tricolor variety you will definitely want to consider if you want to add some vibrancy to your home decor. It is well-known for its distinct colorations that evoke the hues of an aurora borealis, along with its hanging vines, which are often put on full display when the plant is placed inside a hanging pot. This plant is ideal for growing indoors due to its hardy nature and the relative ease with which it can thrive in most indoor conditions.
The Nanouk plant care requires bright indirect light. If the light is too dim, the leaf markings will fade. Keep the soil slightly moist, but don’t water directly into the crown. Care should be taken, particularly in winter, that the plant doesn’t become too dry.
It’s not like any other Tradescantia because it’s a new variety grown by cross-pollinating two selected seedlings of Tradescantia albiflora in the Netherlands in 2012. Tradescantia plants originated in Central America, Mexico, and South America, but Tradescantia Nanouk originated in Sappemeer, The Netherlands. While it’s the new “it” plant, it’s not a difficult plant. In fact, it’s one of the easiest houseplants to care for, which makes it a great choice for beginners!$15.00
