Cotyledon Tomentosa (Bear Paw ) succulent has thick, fuzzy leaves that have paw-liked spikes on top of their leaves that resemble a bear’s paw. Bear’s paw appreciates full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. They can grow up to 12 inches tall, and you can easily propagate them via cuttings.
FYI, bears’ paws go dormant during summer and are mildly toxic to pets and humans, so make sure not to mingle with them. Just like any other succulent plant, they are easy to care for and don’t requires lots of watering. But when you water them, use the soak-and-dry method.
Allow the soil to dry before watering again, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot. Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season using a cactus and succulent fertilizer will help them grow faster. You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zone 9b-11b at 25-50 degrees F.
