String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii) is a beautiful vining plant with variegated leaves, that has delicate heart-shaped leaves, and slender vines. It is native to South Africa. Growing them as a houseplant is easy and doesn’t need much care and attention.
You can grow them outdoors and indoors. If planted indoors, you can plant them in a nice hanging basket and place them on bookshelves where they can cascade their beautiful foliage. These heart-shaped leaves can thrive in bright, indirect sunlight and can survive in low light and well-drained soil.
Since it is a semi-succulent plant, watering them is not so necessary because they love the soil to fully dry before watering them to avoid root rot. Fertilizing them at least once a month during their growing season from spring to summer using houseplant fertilizer can help the plant bloom into a healthy and attractive one. You can propagate them via cuttings.
You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 9-12.
