Brassavola is a very popular, showy genus that has been used hundreds of times by hybridizers. Beloved by all from the beginner to the advanced hobbyist to the sophisticated hybridizer. Water regularly, allowing the potting medium to dry slightly between waterings. Keep plants on the dry side when temperatures are cool. Allow at least a 2 week dry period in the winter when the plant is not actively growing to help mature growths and induce flowering. Brassavolas are easy to grow as a houseplant. This is an excellent awarded clone with a natural spread of 12 cm. They are fragrant at night!
This is a small, healthy plant shipped on cork bark and not currently in spike/bloom.

Note: Orchids grown from seed have unique flowers and are not exactly like each other. To have an exact flower you need to have a division or clone of the flower you are looking for.
Benefits or mounting
► Many epiphytic orchids/Hoyas grow on tree branches in their natural habitats.
► Mounting them would be following nature’s way – while potting them will confine their roots.
► Many orchid species have their flowers hanging from their stems which provides the best moisture conditions, preventing water from collecting at the roots.
► Mounting gives a more natural look to your orchid.
► Orchids/Hoyas that grow quickly need frequent repotting since they outgrow their pots, mounted orchids can last several years on their slab.
Things to consider with mounted orchids
► Mounted orchids/Hoyas require additional time to take care of them.
► Compared to potted orchids/Hoyas, mounted plants’ roots dry out more quickly. You need to water them more frequently.
► They need more humidity in the air, which means you should spend some time every day watering your plants.
