Homalomena plants are native to tropical Asia and South America, is an upright plant with dark green, waxy, spade-shaped leaves. A close relative to philodendrons.
Height: 12-30″ tall.
LIGHT: medium indirect light but grows even better in bright indirect light.
WATER: Always allow the top 50% of the soil dry out before watering. When you do water, water well enough so that it drains out the drip holes in the bottom of the pot.
FERTILIZER: Feed monthly in the spring and summer when the plant is actively growing with a balanced houseplant food diluted to 1/2 the recommended strength. In the fall and winter fertilize plant every other month if the plant is producing new leaves.
TEMPERATURE: plants like warm household temperatures between 65°-80°F. Keep these plants away from air conditioners and cold drafts.
HUMIDITY: does well in regular household humidity.
SOIL: Use a quick-draining, loose soil, containing plenty of peat moss, perlite, and hard sand. This type of soil helps prevent root-rot due to over watering.

Love this plant.Its amazing.
The shipment arrived in a timely manner and my plant was well packaged. When I unwrapped it I was presented with a beautiful unusual plant. It didn’t show much signs of stress from the trip. This is a good source for plants.

I think we suffered a little stress from the journey as it lost 3 or 4 leaves and the box it was in was damaged. But the plant is coming around and starting to recover because it is a very healthy plant.
