Variegated String of Pearls is a gorgeous trailing succulent with green and white pearl-shaped leaves in a variegated pattern. It is native to the arid environments of South Africa, where they thrive in bright, indirect light and well-drained soil mix. You can grow them indoors and outdoors.
Since it’s a trailing succulent plant, you can plant them in a hanging basket and place them on bookshelves where they can cascade down their beautiful foliage for spectacular visuals. A string of pearls bears white flowers with a lovely cinnamon scent that can add a fresh and clean look to your space. It thrives in warm climates and low-humidity environments.
Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot. Fertilizing them during their growing season using a water-soluble succulent or cactus fertilizer will help them grow faster and healthier. This plant is toxic to humans and pets, so make sure not to mingle with them.
The easiest way to propagate them is via stem cuttings. You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11.

This unique plant is the Medium Variegated Senecio Rowleyanus or Variegated String of Pearls. This succulent is native to South Africa. While it is common in the green type, it is quite rare when variegated. This sphere like shaped, trailing succulent plant propagates easily. It is very hardy and quick growing. Boasts lovely, seemingly fuzzy flowers. The hanging basket must have been designed with the String of Pearls in mind. This plant stores water in the pearls, so needs to be watered very carefully to avoid over watering. A must have filler for any succulent arrangement. Create your own terrarium or centerpiece using ever-popular succulents, or buy in bulk to use these as wedding or party favors.
Succulent plants are among the hardiest, most drought-tolerant in the world and very easy to maintain, as long as they are planted in a porous cactus/succulent soil, given proper drainage, daily bright light, and not over watered.
You will receive well-established, rooted plant, from a 4 inch pot, sent bareroot and packaged with great care. It will be shipped via USPS Priority mail.

Shipping Policy
Our shipping schedule will be one day a week. This will include all orders placed by the previous Friday, as we do our plant pick up from our growers on Saturdays. We will be processing and packing orders on Mondays for shipping on Tuesdays. We ship USPS Priority Mail, which has an estimated 2-3 day travel time. After doing this for many years, we find this is the safest schedule for shipping the live plants.
Refund Policy
There are no refunds done once ordered plants have been pulled from the greenhouses. If you have any issues once your order is received please contact me directly as soon as possible so that the problem can be rectified.
