Shark Fin Snake Plant

The striking foliage with a whale fin-like leaf blade makes it perfect for indoor vegetation. The name whale fin dracaena is the common name due to the present single large stiff leaf. It originates from the Asparagaceae family and is botanically named Byng and Christen.

The leaf blade is dark green with creamy variegation with stripped patterns. It is a semi-succulent plant and, therefore, effortlessly withstands the drought. It makes it the right choice for indoor planting as the growth rate is relatively slow and needs minor maintenance. It needs dry soil in between the watering sessions. Flooding the pot may damage the roots. However, the growth rate is a bit low, but it can grow from 30 to 100 cm in height with proper care and occasional fertilization. Although the plant is harmless and even absorb toxins, it might cause allergic reactions to the cat, dogs, and other pets.
