Monstera Deliciosa aka: Split Leaf Philodendron – 6″ pot
Philodendron Monstera deliciosa is a gorgeous, fast growing, easy care, house plant that will develop large, heart-shaped leaves which can reach more than a foot long and wide. This plant can climb or grow up a trellis.

Monstera leaves start off whole and rounded, but as the plant matures, they develop holes in the center that will eventually reach to the edge of the leaf, splitting the leaf into smaller sections, and giving it, its common name of Split leaf Philodendron.
Monstera has no serious disease or pest problems. Like most houseplants, aphids, mealybugs, thrips, scale or spider mites can occasionally be an issue. Insecticidal soaps are usually the best non-toxic solution to these pests.
Light: Monstera grows best in bright, but indirect sunlight. If direct sunlight is unavoidable, limit the exposure to just two to three hours of morning sun.
Soil: This plant grows best in peat-based potting soil in a pot that has a large drainage hole. The peat helps to trap moisture in the soil without allowing it to become waterlogged
Water: Let the top 1 inch of soil dry out before watering this plant.
Temperature and Humidity: These are deep-jungle plants that thrive on very high humidity, lots of moisture during the rainy season, and high temps. The closer you can mimic the plant;s natural conditions the better. Keep the plant above 60 degrees Fahrenheit if possible, but it can survive brief cold spells.
Toxicity: Monstera is moderately toxic to cats and dogs. It can cause swelling, vomiting, or burning in pets.
Heat packs are available to purchase during the winter months as an add on item. You need to add on a heat pack if you live in an area where the temps are below 50 degrees consistently. You will need one heat pack per box. If you order multiple plants you may need to purchase more than one heat pack.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check weather conditions and be aware of extreme conditions that may negatively impact their order. Cold damage due to customers not purchasing the heat pack option will be excluded from the replacement guarantee. Please be sure to leave a note with your USPS mail person for proper placement of packages to avoid prolonged temperature exposure.
We ship all of our plants via USPS. We prep our orders on Monday and ship on Tuesday and Wednesday every week. If you place an order after Monday at 9 AM Eastern time, it will not ship out until the following week. We take extreme care when packaging and shipping our plants to ensure you receive a happy, healthy plant.
Plants are shipped in a 6″nursery pot with soil. Any decorative pots seen in the pictures are not included.
The plant in the picture is not the exact same plant that you will receive unless otherwise stated in the listing. However, your plant will be very similar to the one pictured. It will be in the same size pot, with the same number of cuttings per pot.
We are currently only able to ship within the U.S. This does include Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska and Guam.
Please track your order. We are not liable if your plant is severely damaged or dies from being left sitting in the hot or cold outside after it is delivered. Inspect your order upon arrival and communicate any discrepancies within 48 hours of receiving the plant, by sending us a message with a description of the problem along with as many pictures as possible. A few damaged/broken off leaves is completely normal during the shipping process. So, don’t panic.
As soon as you receive your package, please take the plant out of the box, and give it some water if the soil is dry. It is normal for plants to look limp and dry or have a few yellow leaves as they are stressed during transit. It may take one to two weeks for the plants to perk up as they acclimate to their new environment.
Please do not immediately repot your plant. It is stressed from traveling and needs at least two weeks to recover and acclimate to its new home.
We do not offer returns or exchanges once the plants have shipped.
