Red Fittonia: Also known as Nerve Plant or Mosaic Plant, is a spreading evergreen perennial with delicately veined, deep-green leaves, native to the tropical rainforests of South America. Nerve plant is a low-growing creeper that is a perfect fit for terrariums or bottle gardens. Fittonia typically grows to a height of 3 to 6 inches with a trailing spread of 12 to 18 inches.
How to Grow Nerve Plant
Light : It dislikes full sunlight, preferring bright, indirect sun, such as that offered by north-facing windows. It will also thrive under fluorescent lights. Low light exposure can cause the plant to revert to green, losing the vibrant splashes of color in its veins.
Soil: Fittonia grows well in standard potting soil with a peat-moss base. The soil should retain some moisture but should also drain well.
Water: Fittonia likes well drained moist soil, but not too wet. Water moderately and let dry between watering’s. If left too wet, the plant will develop yellowed, limp leaves.
Temperature and Humidity: Fittonia thrives at around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. But will tolerate temperatures from the low 60’s to the low 80’s. Regular misting’s will keep the plants from drying out. Or use a humidifier during dryer months.

We are currently only able to ship within the U.S. This does include Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska and Guam.
Please track your order. We are not liable if your plant is severely damaged or dies from being left sitting in the hot or cold outside after it is delivered. Inspect your order upon arrival and communicate any discrepancies within 48 hours of receiving the plant, by sending us a message with a description of the problem along with as many pictures as possible. A few damaged/broken off leaves is completely normal during the shipping process. So, don’t panic.
As soon as you receive your package, please take the plant out of the box, and give it some water if the soil is dry. It is normal for plants to look limp and dry or have a few yellow leaves as they are stressed during transit. It may take one to two weeks for the plants to perk up as they acclimate to their new environment.
Please do not immediately repot your plant. It is stressed from traveling and needs at least two weeks to recover and acclimate to its new home.
We do not offer returns or exchanges once the plants have shipped.
