*Free Shipping !!* on this item Gymnocalycium damsii var robores endemic of Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. It grows in open areas under the protection of low bushes. It often form large groups and is extremely variable. It can be grown in full sun, and the plant takes a tan-red coloring, or in bright shade. In full sun it is likely to suffer from sun scorch or stunted growth if over exposed to direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day in summer. Spines are not vicious so pretty easy to handle. It flowers from winter to spring. It is a summer grower species that offers no cultivation difficulties. Water regularly in summer (but do not overwater). Keep this plant almost dry in winter at a minimum temperature of 32°F.C. It is quite frost resistant if kept dry (hardy to 23°F).This plant needs plenty of space for its roots, repotting should be done every other year or when it has outgrown its pot. Pictures are of the actual cacti boing sold displayed in a 2.5″ pot (for size reference) and are shipped bareroot.
Care Tips: Partial – Full Sun. Protect from the mid summer extreme heat. Winter dormancy keep almost dry and above 32°. Summer water weekly. Blooms late winter – Spring. Fertilize once every season with succulent/cacti fertilizer or a balanced fertilizer.

Received after 3 days I ordered. They arrived in a box. All wrapped loosely by used newspapers. You can see the roots with some soil still attached. I planted them in pots the next day. I put them in my sun room. Hope they will grow healthy and see the flowers soon.
