Senecio Stapeliiform (Pickle Plant) is a slow-growing succulent with pencil-shaped stems, soft spines, and white tinny hair and produces yellow flowers that appear at the tip of the stem. It can grow up to 18 inches tall and 0.8 inches in diameter. It is native to South Africa and can withstand extreme heat. Pickle plant is a drought tolerant, no worries for busy gardeners who tend to be forgetful in watering them. You can plant them in a beautiful pot and place them in an area where they can showcase the stunning look of this succulent. Pickle plants can thrive in full sun to partial shades and a well-draining succulent mix. Like any other succulents, allow the soil to dry before watering again to avoid rot. You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 9b-11b at 25-50 degrees F. Bring them indoors during winter to avoid frost. You can propagate them via division, cuttings, or seeds.

The Large Kleinia Senecio Stapeliiformis or Pickle Plant originated in South Africa. It is made up of a grouping of individual stalks of green with some white striping. Produces beautiful, orange flowers.
The Pickle Plant does best if placed in partial to full sun with a minimum of 3 hours direct sunlight per day. As soon as the temperatures exceed 10 °C (50 °F) it can be placed in the garden or on the balcony. There it has to be slowly accustomed to the sun, which is no longer filtered through a window.
Regular mixes for cacti and succulents or a well drained mixture of regular potting soil, bird sand and pumice (2:1:1). Kleinia stapeliiformis can also be grown in pure pumice.
Allow to dry or nearly dry between the watering. During the growing season the Pickle Plant can be deep watered and sparingly during winter.
Feed from spring to fall with organic, standard or cacti liquid fertilizer every 4th to 8th week.
Recently repotted plants do not need to be fed for the first year.
Kleinia stapeliiformis can be grown warm the year round. A winter rest period at 50 to 59 °F will be tolerated. Minimum temperature is 50 degrees.

Shipping Policy
Our shipping schedule will be one day a week. This will include all orders placed by the previous Friday, as we do our plant pick up from our growers on Saturdays. We will be processing and packing orders on Mondays for shipping on Tuesdays. We ship USPS Priority Mail, which has an estimated 2-3 day travel time. After doing this for many years, we find this is the safest schedule for shipping the live plants.
Refund Policy
There are no refunds done once ordered plants have been pulled from the greenhouses. If you have any issues once your order is received please contact me directly as soon as possible so that the problem can be rectified.

It arrived in great condition buy not as pictured. The plant was shorter and had a lot less individual stalks.

Excellent product. Went through a little heat stress getting to me, not the seller fault, but why I mention it is that with a new cut to the end of the stem, these plants recovered very quickly and easily. Most have already formed roots and are establishing themselves comfortably in their new homes.
