Additional information

Weight 1 lbs

The Smallflower Century Agave or Agave Parviflora is a flowering Agave plant that forms small, symmetrical rosettes. They can reach up to 10 inches tall and 8 inches wide. It is native to Arizona. It has stiff, lance like leaves that are a waxy, dark green with white markings and many white marginal fibers that are beautifully unique, peeling, curled fibers. The plant produces a tall central spike that grows up to 7 feet in height with cream or pale yellow flowers in summer. This Agave is extremely rare and very limited in availability. It is an amazing addition for the Agave collector, but is very rare.

The Agave is an easy, low maintenance plant to grow. They are slow-growing and dramatic and will thrive when ignored .Be aware that some of the large varieties will eventually outgrow your planter. The Agave can be aggressive. They have irritating sap.

In general, Agave do not need to be repotted every year. They grow very slowly and will take a long time to outgrow their pot. It is best to handle your Agave as little as possible, since they do not like to be disturbed. When you do repot, add fresh succulent/cactus mix soil.

It is cold tolerant, but should be protected from frost to prevent scarring. Likes sun. Water thoroughly when soil is damp. Looks best with regular watering in hotter months.

You will receive well-established, mature, rooted plant, from an 8 inch diameter pot, sent bareroot and packaged with great care. It will be shipped via USPS Priority mail.

If you are ordering from an area with weather below 32 degrees, please consider purchasing a heat pack.
