This plant has arching stems or fronds, which are completely covered with tiny, needle-like leaves known as cladophylls.
The cladophylls have scale-like leaves growing linearly and flat on the plant’s stems to create thorns.
The true leaves are usually bright green or yellowish-green as is the foliage color.
The Asparagus Fern grows about 1’ to 2’ feet tall and 3’ to 4’ feet wide.
The mature plants produce pale pink flowers or white flowers during the summer season.
These flowers are sometimes followed by green berries, which gradually transform into bright red berries during the winter.
Avoid consuming these berries as they are poisonous.
This plant requires at least six hours of full sun, four to five hours of part sun, and about four hours of partial shade.
It is best to place your indoor plants in a greenhouse or a shady porch during the summer for rapid growth.
The USDA hardiness zone of this plant is 7 to 10.
It tolerates a minimum temperature of 50° degrees Fahrenheit (10° C).
The Asparagus Fern must be thoroughly watered.
However, be sure to let the soil dry out between waterings.
During the winter, limit the water without letting the soil completely dry out.

The little trees appear healthy with green buds emerging. I did find it strange that they were not labeled with what they were, nor was there any paperwork with them, nor directions. I would strongly recommend that anyone buying these little plants wash all the soil off and bareroot them. They have a nice healthy root system, but the roots had grown down to the bottom of the pot, and then back to the top again, and with some circling. By barerooting them, and placing the plant on a little mound of soil and spreading the roots evenly around and down that mound, then partially filling in the planting hole, watering, adding soil to proper level to the base of the stem where the root flare starts, mulching with fine would chips (keeping the chips a few inches away from the stem) and watering again, they should have a good start.
I received the 5 trees I ordered and 4 were in great shape and 1 was broken. I got them planted and just wanting to see them grow. Excited!
I guess I can review it better later. No planting instructions were included. Keeping my fingers crossed that I planted them correctly. (I did Google planting instructions)
Shipping was super fast. The plant came in good condition. The packaging was beat up upon arrival. One leaf is damaged, but the plant seems ok for now.
Has 3 leaves is a little wrinkly. Hope it gets better! Such a cool little plant. Shipped carefully and quickly.

These are bare roots. They looked very healthy. I am withholding the 5th star until I see them sprout.

I received 5 stems. They weren’t rooted much to a point where it’s on a single stem which I knew what I was buying. Let’s see if it grows. I’ll updTe review
