Nandina Firepower is a great choice for dramatic color throughout the year. In spring the leaves take on fresh lime green appearance, with summer comes accents of red, then becoming brilliant red in fall. This evergreen ornamental shrub requires little care once established and minimal pruning.
‘Firepower’ nandina grows to be 24–60-inches-tall and is considered a medium-size cultivar. Often it is marketed as “dwarf” because it is distinctly shorter than the standard species type and is slower growing. Annual plant growth of ‘Firepower’ nandina is 4–6 inches. Typical mature specimens of ‘Firepower’ nandina are 24-inches-tall and wide.

The little trees appear healthy with green buds emerging. I did find it strange that they were not labeled with what they were, nor was there any paperwork with them, nor directions. I would strongly recommend that anyone buying these little plants wash all the soil off and bareroot them. They have a nice healthy root system, but the roots had grown down to the bottom of the pot, and then back to the top again, and with some circling. By barerooting them, and placing the plant on a little mound of soil and spreading the roots evenly around and down that mound, then partially filling in the planting hole, watering, adding soil to proper level to the base of the stem where the root flare starts, mulching with fine would chips (keeping the chips a few inches away from the stem) and watering again, they should have a good start.
I received the 5 trees I ordered and 4 were in great shape and 1 was broken. I got them planted and just wanting to see them grow. Excited!
I guess I can review it better later. No planting instructions were included. Keeping my fingers crossed that I planted them correctly. (I did Google planting instructions)
Shipping was super fast. The plant came in good condition. The packaging was beat up upon arrival. One leaf is damaged, but the plant seems ok for now.
Has 3 leaves is a little wrinkly. Hope it gets better! Such a cool little plant. Shipped carefully and quickly.
