It is native to Central America, Florida, and the Caribbean, where they thrive in full sun to partial shade and sandy soil. Acoelorrhaphe wrightii are easy to grow and donβt need much care once established.
You can grow them outdoors as a tropical lawn accent and highway median. Fertilizing them during their growing season using a slow-release fertilizer will help them grow faster. The easiest way to propagate them is via seeds and division.
Watch out for scales and beetles. Use insecticidal soap to kill them.
