Weight 9 lbs
Moonglow pear trees (Pyrus communis “Moonglow”) bloom with fragrant white flowers from April through May. This dwarf pear cultivar is hardy in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 5 through 8, and it grows 8 to 10 feet tall. The fruit looks like Bartlett pears, with yellow-green, slightly blushed skin. Unlike Bartlett pears, Moonglow is highly resistant to fire blight, a bacterial disease that causes oozing branches and shriveled fruit. Successfully growing and caring for Moonglow pear trees starts with choosing a planting site that gets full sun exposure and has well-draining soil.
