- Bougainvillea ‘Red San Diego’ is a beautiful and vibrant color that is perfect for ground cover, vining, or in a container. It is an evergreen shrub with thorns on its branches and produces red flowers as they mature. Bougainvillea is native to South America, where they thrive in full sun to partial shade, in well-drained soil, and are drought tolerant once established.
- You can grow them indoors and outdoors. When growing indoors, plant them in a large and deep pot and place them in an area where they can get enough sunlight to thrive. When watering them, water thoroughly and allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot.
- Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season using a balanced liquid fertilizer will help them bloom. You can propagate them via cuttings. You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11.

Bougainvillea’s are tropical, very warm climate plants which grow in South America, tropical islands and the Mediterranean.
They have thick vines, long thorns and bloom only in full sun areas. They can grow very long up to 50Ft if supported.
Best displays are on trellis or arbors placed on sides of buildings. Once planted, they just need heat and moisture.
They need a well drained soil and will rot if kept too moist. They need specific food just for them to be placed in Spring and Fall.

Despite receiving my pothos package at time of delivery, I received my pothos with dried out seemingly dead nodes, split leaves, brown leaves, dried stems. I was so disappointed because I had wanted this potho for a very long time.I have done my best to save them and pray that i will. I do thank you for the free alligator plant and seeds.
