Tradescantia Pallida ‘Purple Hearts’ is a beautiful, striking purple foliage that is perfect for ground cover, container, or hanging basket. It has purple stems with violet leaves and produces pink flowers in spring as they mature. Purple Hearts is native to tropical and semi-tropical areas of Mexico and thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil.
It can grow up to 12-18 inches tall in moist, well-drained soil. Growing them is easy, low maintenance, and drought tolerant. It is a lovely addition to your landscape garden and provides color and contrast to the other plants.
Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot. You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 7a-11b. Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season will help them produce more leaves and grow healthy.
The best way to propagate them is via stem cuttings.

Tradescantia pallida also known as Spiderwort or Purple Hearts are very easy to grow and are very popular. They are very colorful and can grow inside with little care and indoor cool temps.
