The Satin Pothos is just as easy to grow as its relative, golden pothos (Epipremnum aureum). You’ll receive a healthy, well-rooted 1-2 node cutting. Its variegated foliage makes Satin Pothos a beautiful addition to a terrarium. Big, heart-shaped leaves are dark-green and splashed with silvery gray, giving them a satin sheen. Its compact growth habit makes Scindapsus pictus ‘Argyraeus’ a beautiful hanging basket plant.

These beautiful vining plants are a great choice for beginners. They have a matte like texture and feel a bit velvety to touch, hence the common name Satin.

Scindapsus pictus is commonly sold in the market as a Satin pothos or Silver philodendron, but it’s neither a pothos or a philodendron. They are all cousins and belong to the same genus though.

The one with large heart-shaped leaves is ‘Exotica’ and the smaller one is ‘Argyraeus’, although to avoid confusion since most places sell them as Satin pothos we have also decided to retain that name.

  • What to expect: You’ll receive a healthy, well-rooted 1-2 node cutting.

  • Packaging & Shipping: Every plant is fragile and the shipping process is not always kind (or easy). That’s why every plant is packaged snugly with care with a moist wrapping over the roots secured with an outer layer of plastic wrapping to prevent damage to the node/roots of the cutting inside the shipping box.

  • Returns & Refunds: Due to the nature of the product, we cannot accept returns or refunds. If there are issues with your order, please reach out to us so that we can do our best to find an appropriate resolution.

Care instructions:

  • Soil: A standard well-drained potting soil mix. We use a mixture of 50% perlite and 50% succulent soil mix to ensure the roots remain aerated and healthy.

  • Water: Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.

  1. Packing could have been better. Most of the dirt had come out of the pot. But, there was an additional plant in the box! 😊
