All of our plants and cuttings are grown in rich, organic Hawaiian soil and are certified by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Inspection Service (APHIS). We work closely with the APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine Program here in Honolulu to safeguard U.S. agriculture and natural resources against the entry, establishment, and spread of economically and environmentally significant pests, and facilitate the safe trade of agricultural products. This ensures that only the best quality cuttings will be selected and shipped out.

The Mother Vine has been cultivated and maintained by our family over four generations and has grown well over 50 feet in length! This Monstera enjoys the Hawaiian sun and prefers a shady well lit area to thrive. The average leaf size is approximately 3.5 – 4′ tall x 3′ feet wide and is fully fenestrated. Due to the maturity and health of our vine, new leaves develop strong and open fully fenestrated. New leaves typically begin their life cycle as a vibrant light green color and will gradually mature into luscious dark green. All cuttings are clones and contain the same genetic coding as the mother vine and will perform similarly if growing conditions are matched. 

Fresh cuttings are cultivated at time of purchase and are treated with a rooting hormone to promote growth. All cuttings are approximately 9 inches in length and 3 inches in diameter. Outdoor growing produces the highest chance of bearing fruit. The monstera deliciosa fruit is a rare delicacy. When fully ripe, the fruit has a delicious tropical blend of coconut, pineapple and banana. Delicate jam, ice cream and desserts made from this fruit are extremely popular and highly sought after in Mexico, Costa Rica and other countries!

Shipping is carried out with the utmost care and a processing time of 2-4 days. Nodes are treated prior to shipment. During shipment, your plant may temporarily become dry, we recommend placing your node in a shady, cool area to allow some time for the plant to become acclimated to your environment. Once settled, find a shady area with partial sun. Finding a spot with a slight breeze will help to make your plant sturdy and ultimately stronger.
