The semi-succulent Hoya Obovata is a drought-tolerant plant. It stores water in the parts and survives without water for days. The epiphytic plant also withdraws nutrients from the source plant. Oval-shaped large green leaves with silverish patterns make it look unique and beautiful.

The plant has a high tolerance and is native to Indonesia. The plant is low maintenance and can be grown easily in offices and homes.

Light Conditions 

The ornamental indoor plant loves to bathe in bright light. Therefore it’s a perfect spot for outdoor as well as well-lighted indoor widows. However, exposure to direct sunlight can be damaging, but bright light is necessary for plants’ growth. 

Soil 

It needs proper draining soil and with a mixture of peat, orchid, and perlite. 

Water Needs 

Overwatering is highly damaging for the plant. It can not tolerate water-logging. The watering needs depend upon the factors that affect transpiration. Warm climates necessitate regular watering, whereas cold temperatures demand a drying-out period.

Temperature 

Warmth-loving plants need regular misting and humidity. Dry weather or cold climates need humidifiers or DIY methods to enhance humidity to at least 60%. 

You can propagate another plant from the cutting by following the right procedure.
