The coconut orchid is an easy-to-grow orchid that smells like fresh coconuts, Maxillaria tenuifolia is one of those orchids that belongs in every collection. While small plants remain compact, it may also be grown into a specimen in a rather short period of time. The grasslike foliage makes an attractive houseplant even when not in flower. Being a widely distributed species, it is adaptable to a broad range of growing conditions. Also known as the “coconut orchid”, this Maxillaria will perfume the home or greenhouse with its coconut-scented flowers and delight family and visitors.

All of our plants are guaranteed to be healthy at the time of shipment. If there is any problem with a plant, you must notify us within 10 days of receipt and provide photos of the damaged or otherwise compromised plant, in the condition in which it arrived.
Refund Policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at [email protected]. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

The appearance of the plants is very disappointing and all the planting media was in the bottom of the box, poorly packed . The paper I was sent describes a different orchid.

I am so happy on my order. on one biggest plant there was a broken leaf. But overall shipping was fast, and well packaged. I will definitely ordering more plant from this seller.

Not much to look at yet, 6 leaves and an extremely long root system. Hoping for blooms someday. The purple flowers in the ad picture are so beautiful, praying I’ll have some of those. In the meantime the plant is alive and doing well.
Much smaller than expected for a plant described as going into bloom soon–unless it’s a miniature orchid. It’s tiny–doesn’t even fill the 1 1/2″ pot, but looks to be very healthy, so I hope I’ll have the same success I have with my other oncidiums.

I’d give five stars but didn’t know when they were delivered.
This plant was green and healthy looking. One of the flower spikes was broken during shipping.
Plant seemed on the yellow side but I am not familiar with is plant. The main main flower spike broke off during shipping. I planted it in a premium oncidium mix and gave it probiotics and a light fertilizer and it perked up right away so I am pretty happy with the purchase.
