Dendrobium Thongchai Gold x Dendrobium Candy Stripe has an attractive hybrid candy-striped purple flower that catches the eye. It is a hybrid of acrossing between the hybrids Dendrobium Dianne McFarlane and Dendrobium Margaret Joan Fell. Growing this orchid is easy and doesn’t need much care once established.

You can plant them in a pot and place them on a window sill where they can get enough sunlight to thrive. It thrives in very bright light, a well-draining pot mix, and a warm and humid environment. Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot.

Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season using an orchid fertilizer will help them grow healthy. You can propagate them via division.

Dendrobium Phalaenopsis type is a warm-growing Dendrobium usually referred to as the Phalaenopsis type Dendrobium. The plant is evergreen and flower spikes emanate from the top of the pseudobulb on a raceme. Sometimes spikes are produced several years in a row from the same pseudobulb.

▸ Give them bright to filtered light.
▸ Water when in growth; lots of water but with good drainage. Dry winter rest is usually necessary for best blooming. Provide ample humidity.
▸ Fertilize with a balanced, diluted solution, every other week.
▸ Pot in any good, open epiphytic mix.
