Haworthia

Haworthia is a genus of small succulent plants native to South Africa. Most species have rosettes of thick, pointed leaves in various shapes, textures, and colors, including solid green, striped, banded, and tipped in red, white, or brown.

Examples include the zebra plant (Haworthia fasciata) with pronounced white bands on leaves and Haworthia limifolia with long, narrow leaves flush with the ground.

Other popular varieties are Haworthia cooperi with bumpy ridges and Haworthia retusa with triangular, tear-drop-shaped leaves. Most haworthias stay under 6 inches tall and make excellent indoor plants.

Their minimal watering needs and sculptural appeal make them a staple for succulent collections and dish gardens.
