Tradescantia Zebrina Purple is a popular houseplant that is known for its fast-growing plant and striking foliage that captivates the eye of a plant enthusiast. It has colorful foliage of striped green, white, and gray leaves with purple undersides and produces purple flowers if grown outdoors. It is native to southern Mexico and Guatemala and thrives in bright indirect light and well-drained soil.
It is a lovely addition to your collection of plants, especially if you have it displayed in a beautiful pot. Growing them is easy and doesn’t require much care once established. You can grow them indoors and outdoors.
When growing indoors, plant them in a pot and place them as a tabletop for additional modern interior decor to your space. Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot. You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 8a-12b.
Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season will help them boost their growth. The best way to propagate them is via stem cuttings.
