Moon Cactus ( Gymnocalycium mihanovichii ) is a flowering succulent native to the desert part of South America. They are believed to be short-lived because they cannot produce chlorophyll, even if you take good care of them. It’s just its mutant nature.
Care for this rare species is similar to other succulents. Succulent or a cactus mix for their soil and well-draining pot. It thrives in partial sun to partial shade, well-drained soil mix, and humid environments.
When watering them, use the soak and dry method, allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole to prevent root rot. Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season using a high-potassium fertilizer will help them grow healthy. You can propagate them via grafting and offsets.

Plants are shipped in their pots with soil because they are small and portable and less stressful for the tiny plants.

Make sure to soak plant with water when soil is completely dry. Check soil is dry before watering again
Best tip is to stick your thumb in the soil and check for moisture.
Avoid leaving out in the sun for long periods as it can get sun-burned.
