What Are the Most Prized Flora in Botanical Gardens?

The Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City has an annual Oklahoma Gardening School where young and old alike can learn exciting things about flora. At the park, you can see towering palm trees, densely landscaped areas, perennial flowers, and more for even gardeners to enjoy.

However, one standout feature in prized plants is the corpse flower, the Amorphophallu titanium—the unusual, carnivorous, yet gorgeous flower blooms with an odd smell once a year. The image below shows how stunning the corpse flower is.

While this outdoor plant grows in the wild in Indonesia, the downtown garden has one, and it bloomed for the first time this year. The Myriad received it as a seed eight years ago and is one of the most amazing plants they have housed.
