    09
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Cebu Blue Pothos, or the Epipremnum pinnatum, is native to Southeast Asia. It has the reputation of being one of the easiest houseplants to take care of. Its common name, Pothos, comes from the genus it was once classified under: Pothos aureus.

In the wild, it is known to overgrow forest floors and tree trunks due to its aerial root system which can be used to help it grow vertically in the home up a coir pole. In good indoor conditions, you can expect the Pothos to trail to 10 feet long and grow leaves that are 3 feet in length if trained to climb! The Pothos is particularly fitting for indoor settings because it is able to filter gaseous toxins like formaldehyde from the air.

    12
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Tradescantia chrysophylla, also commonly known as Baby Bunny Bellies, is an easy care houseplant with fuzzy foliage! This plant is perfectly named, it really does feel silky just like a baby bunny’s belly! It’s a climbing or trailing plant and will thrive indoors with sufficient lighting.

With velvety green leaves and soft downy purple undersides like a baby rabbit’s belly. Must be touched to appreciate its silky texture. It requires bright indirect light. If the light is too dim, the leaf markings will fade. Keep the soil slightly moist, but don’t water directly into the crown as this will cause an unsightly rot in your plant. Care should be taken, particularly in winter, that the plant doesn’t become too dry.

Tradescantia are climbing or trailing plants which will thrive indoors in good light. They are also known by other names: spider-lily, cradle-lily, oyster-plant and flowering inch plant. The stems trail to about 60 cm or more!

  • Scindapsus Pictus Exotica | Philodendron Silver | Satin Pothos

    07
    Sold By: Gardengineering

Scindapsus pictus ‘Exotica’ is a vigorous vining plant whose light green foliage is speckled with silvery, reflective variegation. The heart-shaped leaves are velvety to the touch and quite matte in texture. This plant is also known by the common names Philodendron Silver and Satin Pothos.

The Silver Satin (Scindapsus pictus) is native to Southeast Asia and has the reputation of being one of the easiest houseplants to keep alive. It is known for its fast-growing, trailing vines. A mature Silver Satin can grow vines between 4-10 feet long depending on conditions.

The genus name is derived from the Greek word ‘skindapsos’, which is said to mean “upon tree trunks” in reference to the plants growth habit. In the wild, Scindapsus grows as an epiphyte climbing along the trunks and limbs of trees attaching themselves with aerial roots. Therefore, it’s a great specimen to train to climb up a coir pole, or placed on a ledge/shelf to cascade over as a trailing plant!

  • Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus | Satin Pothos

    Only 3 available and it's in 1 people's basket
    03
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Satin Pothos is just as easy to grow as its relative, golden pothos (Epipremnum aureum). Its variegated foliage makes Satin Pothos a beautiful addition to a terrarium. Big, heart-shaped leaves are dark-green and splashed with silvery gray, giving them a satin sheen. Its compact growth habit makes Scindapsus pictus ‘Argyraeus’ a beautiful hanging basket plant.

These beautiful vining plants are a great choice for beginners. They have a matte like texture and feel a bit velvety to touch, hence the common name Satin.

Scindapsus pictus is commonly sold in the market as a Satin pothos or Silver philodendron, but it’s neither a pothos or a philodendron. They are all cousins and belong to the same genus though.

The one with large heart-shaped leaves is ‘Exotica’ and the smaller one is ‘Argyraeus’, although to avoid confusion since most places sell them as Satin pothos we have also decided to retain that name.

  • Global Green Pothos | Epipremnum Aureum

    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Global Green is a fairly new Pothos variety that has beautifully textured, rich green on green marbling leaves mottled in dark and light green. The Global Pothos is a hardy and easy plant to care for and you will find that it is an extremely rare and valuable variety of pothos plant!

The Pothos, or the Epipremnum aureum, is native to Southeast Asia.

• Neon Pothos | Epipremnum Aureum

    03
    Sold By: Gardengineering

The Neon Pothos is known for its glowing, neon-green color throughout its leaves and stems. This Pothos shows off bright, chartreuse leaves. The Neon Pothos will bring lush splendor to nearly any space and is very low maintenance! This plant produces cascading vines with heart-shaped, glossy leaves featuring elegant patterns and shapes.

Best of all, this charming houseplant is just as tough, easy to grow and carefree as all other pothos plants. These bright plants perk up rooms and offices with their colorful leaves.

While the heart-shaped leaves can grow as large as 20 inches long, indoors the leaves are usually smaller, around five inches long. They can tolerate diverse growing conditions. Best is a spot out of direct sun, in filtered light. They even grow well under fluorescent lights. Avoid hot, direct afternoon sun and keep the plant away from drafts.

Neon pothos are vigorous growers and do well in hanging baskets or anyplace where their trailing vines can fall freely. Because they tolerate low light, Neon pothos plants can grow in a bathroom or office. Neon pothos cuttings can even live for years in plain water, so this makes it easy to add a houseplant to hard-to-reach places, such as atop a grandfather clock.

If your Neon pothos leaves begin to look pale, it may be getting too much light, so it should be moved away from the sunlight. Pothos plants like average home temperatures between 65° and 80°F. They can go a long time without water, but try to give them water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.

The cherry on top! You can take cuttings any time of the year and root them in soil or water. Oddly, cuttings started in water will not grow well in soil, and a Neon Pothos cutting started in soil won’t do well in water.

As if their easy care and bright chartreuse-green leaves aren’t enough, Neon Pothos is a living air purifier, able to remove toxins found in paint, carpeting, and even insulation.
