Our small patch of Florida Native Fanpetals grew great this year!
The beautiful yellow flowers open about lunchtime with a few opening everyday.
The bushes grow knee to waist high with flowers up and down each and every stem.
It self seeds rapidly and would make a small hedge quickly.
The bees and butterfly’s LOVE it!
Fanpetal is a host plant for the Checkered-Skipper & Scrub-Hairstreak Butterflies.
We pointed out a bush of FanPetal growing at a neighbor’s farm.
Before we could mention the beautiful flowers, he pulled it out and threw it to the side.
