Protect it from the hottest days of summer and strong mid days sun. The pictures you see of the single cactus is the one for sale, and is aprox 3.5″ x 3.5″ displayed in a 6″ pot. It bloomed this spring as shown in the picture accompanied by my mother plant. This cactus will ship bareroot.

It is endemic of Southern Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. It grows in grassy plains or in low hills in lowland up to 3200ft above sea levels. The climate is tropical, continental. Winter is completely dry, while in summer the landscape is flooded by torrential rain and soaked with water. Rainfall up to 60in per year. Average annual temperature 75-85° F. Rarely the temperature drop below zero degrees even if the landscape is open to the cold south pamperos winds. Echinopsis eyriesii grows among grasses and shrubs along with other cacti of the genera Notocactus, Gymnocalycium, Frailea, Cleistocactus and Cereus.

All my plants are healthy and pest free. All purchases on or after Wednesday will ship the following Monday to avoid plants spending the weekend at the post office. Not responsible for frozen plants or delays from postal service, that’s out of my hands. If you require a heat pack, I have some for sale, check under my other listings. I’m not making any money on these, I have them there for YOUR convenience. They are priced at $6 that’s to cover my cost. If you purchase a heat pack send me a message and let me know is for your order.

Received after 3 days I ordered. They arrived in a box. All wrapped loosely by used newspapers. You can see the roots with some soil still attached. I planted them in pots the next day. I put them in my sun room. Hope they will grow healthy and see the flowers soon.
