About
Welcome to our store
We are Beauties & Beasts!!
We are not commercial growers. We are plant hobbyists, for the hobbyist.
Located in Carson, CA (South Los Angeles) with over 25 years of experience growing over 800 plants of various genera mainly cacti, succulents, orchids, and carnivorous plants. Assisted by my daughter, we enjoy growing plants, sharing the plants we grow, our experiences and achievements.
We focus on promoting the hobby, education, and conservation. We are active members of various societies, and also serve on the board in various non profits. I am a proud co-founder of SCCPE (sccpe.org), a very active carnivorous plant society in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. We (SCCPE) host the largest carnivorous plant show and sale event in the world every June. Our event is growing more and more every year and it has become even bigger than the ICPS international show. We also participate in many local and not-so-local plant group meets, events, and shows.
Feel free to contact us for any reason by clicking “Contact Us” above or find us on Instagram and Facebook (links above), also find our LinkTree under the Linkedin (In) link above for care sheets on many of the plants we offer and recommended media mixes. Watch our YouTube video and tell us how you liked it. We look forward hearing from you!! We also offer local pick up for those of you in the area. If you live in the LA, or will be visiting the area you can schedule a visit with us ahead of time. We are not open to the public for walk ins, only by appointment.
