Huernia is an interesting multiple stem species with plump stems small tubercles along the ribs that resemble teeth. Readily offsets to form large low growing mounds. The flowers, which arise in succession at the base of the stems. This plant isn’t difficult to grow and flower. They will tolerate very hot weather outdoors as long as they are kept in filtered light and this will encourage them to flower in the Autumn.
Stapelia known globally as African starfish flowers. Members of the genus Stapelia are usually characterized by their foul-smelling flowers reminiscent of the odor of rotting meat. The hairs, coloration and surface mimic decaying animal matter and attract mostly flies, which act as pollinators. The strong carrion scent is sometimes recognizable at a great distance, especially on hot afternoons.
Orbea formerly known as Stapelia, is a popular succulent with 4-angled toothed stems usually densely packed into a mat that may reach 3 feet. The stems are green, mottled with purple-brown. They are decumbent, up to 10 inches long, and up to 4 inches in diameter, excluding teeth. Flowers are highly variable in color, but usually, they are speckled with purple-brown on a pale yellow background. They are star-shaped, up to 3.2 inches across, appear in late summer or fall, and have a faint carrion smell to attract potential insect pollinators.
Plants available are all rooted divisions. Plant will ship bare root. Will refund some of the shipping cost when placing an order for 2 or more plants. All my plants are healthy and pest free. I ship USPS priority mail 2-5 business days. All purchases on or after Wednesday will ship the following Monday to avoid plants spending the weekend at the post office. Not responsible for frozen plants or delays from postal service, that’s out of my hands. If you require a heat pack, I have some for sale, check under my other listings. I’m not making any money on these, I have them there for YOUR convenience. They are priced at $6 that’s to cover my cost. If you purchase a heat pack send me a message and let me know is for your order. For orders cancelled or refunded 72 hours after being placed, there will be a $5 charge (deducted from total refund) to cover restocking and Stripe’s processing fee.

Received after 3 days I ordered. They arrived in a box. All wrapped loosely by used newspapers. You can see the roots with some soil still attached. I planted them in pots the next day. I put them in my sun room. Hope they will grow healthy and see the flowers soon.
